Lavandula stoechas, also known as French lavender, can be recognised by the leaf feather on the top of the flower head. French lavender on stem, blooms slightly earlier than common lavender. This lavender grows best in a sunny spot in normal garden soil, which must not be too dry.
You can keep it in the garden, but it will also cheer up your garden when planted.
As this plant is container grown, it can be planted all year round.
