The green gooseberry is a well-branched shrub that grows up to 120 cm high and is well suited for the home garden. The branches of the gooseberry have many, small, pointed prickles. It is very little sensitive to mildew and leaf drop disease. The medium-sized, juicy fruits have a smooth skin or are a little hairy. The soft, juicy flesh has a tangy, sour taste, ideal for compotes or fruit sauces.
As this plant is grown in a container, it can be planted all year round.
