Impala Ilex is an evergreen shrub with a rather narrow, upright habit. The leaves of the holly are glistening dark green, narrow and long. The upper half of the leaves is usually toothed. The inflorescence of this plant is very inconspicuous, followed by a small, glossy black berry. Impala holly grows well and healthy in almost all B&oum;dens to form a beautiful hedge. This holly variety is an excellent alternative to boxwood.
Because of its rather slender growth, Impala ilex is excellent for use as a hedge plant. Impala ilex is very easy to prune. The plant grows faster than other holly species and is therefore suitable for medium hedges up to approx. 180 cm. Finally, the plant can grow up to 250 cm high. It can also be pruned into shape, into a pyramid, block or bulb. It can also be planted in groups. The Impala holly is also an elegant plant as a solitary. The uniform, brilliant green colour means that the plant can be combined endlessly well with other plants in your garden. Ilex Impala tolerates the sea breeze and is hardy to -25°C.
The plants are pot-grown, so you can use them all year round.
