The Ivonne Bonsai Ponpon cypress is also not fussy about the type of soil, it thrives in all types of soil. The solitaires thrive perfectly, however, if they are planted from September to May. During this time you should water the plant daily in the evening until it has formed an extensive root system, especially on hot summer days and during prolonged drought. It is important to ensure that no waterlogging occurs.
